He is being tried on 14 morals charges in Common Pleas Court.

Stiles said his two adult accusers were bitter at him because he had fired them from their duties at the revival center, the old Park Theater building on Eulid Avenue near E. 101st Street.

Says Accuser Stole

He denied having told a policeman that he said he was rejected by the Army because he wrote on the service questionnaire that he had homosexual tendencies.

Stiles said he fired William E. Kutscher, one of his accusers, because he had stolen $250 from the church.

On cross-examination he said the matter was not reported to police because “we preach forgiveness."

Stiles faces further crossexamination this morning.

His trial is in the courtroom of Common Pleas Judge Joseph H. Silbert.
